The opening — praise, guidance, the straight path.

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.

Pure oneness of Allah.

Say: He is Allah, One.

Seeking refuge from external harm.

Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak.

Seeking refuge from internal whispers.

Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of humankind.

Abundant good given to the Prophet ﷺ.

Indeed We have granted you al-Kawthar.

Time, faith, good deeds, patience and truth.

By time, indeed humankind is in loss.

Clarity of belief — no compromise in worship.

Say: O disbelievers.

Divine help and victory; return to Allah in praise.

When the help of Allah and the victory come.

The story of the elephant and Allah's protection of His House.

Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?

Gratitude for security and provision from the Lord of the House.

For the accustomed security of the Quraysh.
